Day reasoning

First they told me they weren't talking because it's Friday. Today they said Monday. I said what about Tuesday mornings, 7 a.m. They laughed but I told them not to. I said, ok, let's make the midterm an oral event. They said ha ha, which I spelled on the board. This went on for four minutes. The point is, would they rather listen to me talk? I put that to a vote. Everyone abstained, but K. put a hand up later in response to a question about a horse.
